From TikTok to True Love: Meet the Founders

Hi! We’re Dammy & Laura, the couple behind LD LoveLink, a bespoke matchmaking platform for people in interracial and long-distance relationships across the UK, Africa, and Europe.
Our story began during the 2020 lockdown, when we connected on TikTok. Despite living in different countries, our bond grew quickly—and by May 2021, Laura flew from the UK to meet Dammy in Ivory Coast. He proposed during that visit, and our international love story truly began.
After navigating a complicated fiancé visa process, we finally reunited in the UK in July 2022. Along the way, we documented our journey and gained a supportive community—especially from Nigeria and the UK—who were inspired by our story and reached out for advice on dating across borders, managing time zones, and immigration.
